Continuing yesterday's theme, let us examine some other Greek verses and attempt to derive some greater potential views on their meaning.
Revelation 14:1, 9 – 11
King James Version:
"And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads.... If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: and the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name."
Original Greek:
"Καὶ εἶδον, καὶ ἰδοὺ τὸ ἀρνίον ἑστὸς ἐπὶ τὸ ὄρος Σιὼν καὶ μετ’ αὐτοῦ ἑκατὸν τεσσεράκοντα τέσσαρες χιλιάδες ἔχουσαι τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ καὶ τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ γεγραμμένον ἐπὶ τῶν μετώπων αὐτὼν.... "And I looked, and behold, the Lamb was standing on Mount Zion with one hundred forty-four thousand people who had the directive of the Son and the directive of the Father illustrated through their faces.... If anyone bows down to the being and its copy, the physical proof of which is taken on their faces or on their arms, they will drink the wine of God's anger that is undiluted in his cup of wrath, they will be tortured in fire and brimstone with the Lamb and holy angels as witnesses. And the smoke rising from their torture will rise up for ages upon ages, and the tortured will not be able to find relief. This is the fate of those who bow down to the being and its copy, the physical proof of which they have accepted per the directive of the being."

ἐπί epi ("above, after, against, among, as long as"):
"A primary preposition; properly, meaning superimposition (of time, place, order, etc.), as a relation of distribution (with the genitive case), i.e. Over, upon, etc.; of rest (with the dative case) at, on, etc.; of direction (with the accusative case) towards, upon, etc. -- about (the times), above, after, against, among, as long as (touching), at, beside, X have charge of, (be-, (where-))fore, in (a place, as much as, the time of, -to), (because) of, (up-)on (behalf of), over, (by, for) the space of, through(-out), (un-)to(-ward), with. εἰκόνα eikona ("image"):
"Assumes a prototype, of which it not merely resembles, but from which it is drawn" (R. Trench). 1504 (eikṓn) then is more than a 'shadow'; rather it is a replication (F. F. Bruce, Hebrews, 226; see also Lightfoot at Col 3:10 and 2:21)" ("1504. eikon, HELPS Word-studies, accessed 12 Sep 2021).
